IHAE have a rather conservative image due to their lack of diversity both in the audiences concerned and in the practices embraced, but also in the courses offered, with a rather narrow vision of the profession of artist. Faced with the profound changes in societies - equity, inclusion, new needs of the profession, ecological issues, digital development, etc. - the IHAEs should engage in the necessary transformations for which they need to reconsider their missions and rethink their processes. Through current examples but also through future scenarios, this narrative aims to draw the future type of IHAE we need in 2045
